Natural Gas Corner - Market Review - Short-Covering Today Ahead of Weekly Storage Report

Light short-covering ahead of tomorrow's EIA weekly storage report lifted natural gas prices for most of today's session but the buying interest faded by the session's close.

Outside of production, market fundamentals remain bearish including a longer range forecast today which extends above-normal temperatures for the eastern U.S. into the month of January.

One interesting note which will be discussed in greater detail after tomorrow's EIA report is U.S. production which is now forecast to remain flat by Bentek.  Previously they had predicted that production would rise over the next two weeks but production may now fall to a new low for 2015.

EIA storage report tomorrow at 9:30 am central.  No real fireworks expected but U.S. storage could reach a new all-time high.
