DJ EIA Lowers Natural-Gas Price Forecast -- Market Talk
16:49 EST - The EIA has become the latest to cut its forecast for natural-gas prices. It now sees benchmark Henry Hub
spot prices averaging $3.44/MMBtu this year, 10% less than December's forecast. The EIA also releases its first 2016
estimate, calling for an average $3.86. Citi last week forecast a $2.70 average for this year, 10% less than its prior
view, while Societe Generale cut its view for spring to $2.75-2.90. Natural-gas production is so rampant that the EIA
expects storage levels to be 9B cubic feet above the 5-year average by late March. (tim.puko@wsj.com)
