Commitment of Trader's Report - Speculative Long Position In Natural Gas Crashed By 25% In Just One Week

The Commitment of Trader's report released on Friday showed a steep drop in the natural gas speculative long position by the hedge funds.

The fund long position fell by 32,707 contracts or 25% from the previous week to 99,375 contracts as natural gas prices fell to a new 3-month low.

The funds have been largely absent from the natural gas market over the past summer as prices have remained in a sideways range.  Those left must surely be sorry they attempted to play this market from the long side.
