More Signs of Natural Gas Production On Decline

DJ More Signs of Natural Gas Production on Decline -- Market Talk

17:48 EDT - Natural-gas production fell slightly in May, Bentek says. The news comes on the heels of EIA saying
production already fell in two of the first three months of the year as cold weather and low prices cause cuts.
Bentek's estimates say this is only the second monthly decline of the year, down 0.35B cubic feet, or less than 1%, at
72.6BCF a day. Production is coming off record levels, and May's drop is from shutdowns on pipelines and at process
plants that blocked 0.7BCF a day, Bentek says. It expects growth in the northeast to keep production at 73BCF a day for
the year. (tim.puko@wsj.com)
