Dow Jones Natural Gas - Production Declined In March

DJ US Natural-Gas Production Declined in March -- Market Talk

9:33 EDT - Monthly natural-gas production declined in March, the 2nd drop in 3 months, says the EIA. Dry-gas output
fell to 72B cubic feet/day from February's 72.4B. That as the Energy Department arm cut previously stated January and
February production "meaningfully," says Simmons & Co., after finding lower results from the Marcellus shale region,
which has been the driver of a historic boom in US natural-gas production. Output from there may have finally peaked or
plateaued because of lower prices and massive spending cuts, some analysts and investors say. Simmons notes production
fell only once in all of 2014. Nymex July futures are down 0.3% at $2.633/MMBtu. (tim.puko@wsj.com)
