Dow Jones - Analysts' Estimates For Tomorrow's EIA Weekly Storage Report

DJ Analysts See 111-Billion-Cubic-Feet Addition to U.S. Natural Gas Inventories

   By Timothy Puko

Analysts expect government data scheduled for release Thursday to show natural gas inventories last week rose on par
with the same week a year ago.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration is expected to report that storage levels grew by 111 billion cubic feet
of gas during the week ended June 5, according to the average forecast of 16 analysts surveyed by The Wall Street
Journal.

The EIA is scheduled to release its storage data for the week on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. EDT.

For the June 5 week, the median estimate is for an addition of 112 bcf. Estimates range from an addition of 96 bcf to
an addition of 119 bcf.

The estimate for June 5 compares to 109 bcf added to storage for the same week last year and the 89-bcf five-year
average addition for that week.

If the storage estimate is correct, inventories as of June 5 totaled 2.3 trillion cubic feet, 47% above levels from a
year ago and 1.9% above the five-year average for the same week.
