The speculative long position held by the hedge funds plunged last week according to the Commitment of Trader's report released on Friday.
The report showed the long position falling by 23,264 contracts or 40% to a current position of 35,236 contracts as of last Tuesday's close.
It looks like the funds bailed on this market just as it set a near term low.
